Stop the Week in Style
Friday night has never been so fine as at Buddha Land Kadampa Meditation Centre’s monthly Stop the Week.
Relax at the end of the week at the Keighley Centre with a guided meditation and delicious three course vegetarian meal.
The evening begins at 7.30pm with a guided meditation and short talk to bring some inner peace and spiritual focus to the week. This can get neglected during the busyness of the week so this is a chance to readdress the balance. This is followed by dinner at our World Peace Cafe which has excelled itself on every occasion. It is also a fantastic opportunity to meet others who are interested in meditation and maybe to learn a tip or two.
We only cater for the number booked so please let us know in advance if you would like to come. It is usually possible to cater for special dietary requirements if good notice is given. Group bookings are welcome.
The cost is £15.50 per person. Please book in advance by calling the centre or by following the booking link below.
Sample Menu
Carrot and Orange Soup
Lasagne with Rocket Salad

This course will be taught by Gen Kelsang Päljin the Resident Teacher of Burnley Kadampa Buddhist Centre and of Buddha Land Meditation Centre, Keighley. He is a Buddhist monk with over 18 years’ experience of practising and teaching Kadampa Buddhism.

Day courses are an ideal way to learn more about meditation and inner peace. Each course examines a particular aspect of Buddha’s teachings in greater depth than would be possible during an evening class. Particular attention is paid to how meditation can be used in practice especially in solving problems in our daily life.
Solve daily problems, develop peace of mind, improve your health and find meaning & purpose in life. Classes include guided meditations and explanation of how to meditate and practise in daily life. They are run on a drop-in basis so you can join at any stage.
Retreats are an opportunity to take time out from a busy lifestyle to focus on our meditation practice. This will allow us to gain a deep understanding of Buddha’s teachings that we have gained though our study and daily practice.
Enjoy a simple meditation on the breath for relaxation and stress relief. Many of our problems and difficulties are caused by tension within our mind. This peaceful mind meditation will allow us to relax deeply and find inner peace.
