Becoming a Resident

As well as the meditation room and café in the centre of Keighley, Buddha Land also has a shared residential house a short walk away on the edge of Utley, close to Cliffe Castle Park. Each resident has their own room and share kitchen, sitting room and bathroom facilities.

The house is home to Buddhist practitioners and those sympathetic to and interested in the Buddhist way of life, who would like to experience living in a spiritual community.

There are many benefits to living in such an environment:

  • It provides a peaceful, friendly and harmonious place to live;
  • It offers the opportunity to develop and further an understanding of the practical application of Buddha’s teachings by attending formal classes in the Centre and /or by discussing informally with others;
  • It offers an opportunity to give more meaning to our life by engaging in public service by helping with voluntary work to assist with the running of the Centre.

The current monthly charge is £308 which includes utility bills, council tax and free entrance to our meditation classes.

If you would like to know more about our accommodation, please contact the Centre using our Contact Us Page.
