Buddha Amitayus is the Buddha of Long Life. By relying upon him and engaging in this ancient, ritual practice, we can increase our lifespan, wisdom and positive energy. We can also use this practice to remove obstacles that endanger the lives of others.
Saturday 11 February, 10am – 1pm
Learn to create peace of mind and inner happiness using simple but effective meditations. Discover the essential techniques of meditation with this short workshop, and find greater focus, balance and peace in life.

The practice of going for Refuge is the basis for the Buddhist Path to liberation and enlightenment. It’s a doorway that allows us to experience lasting inner peace and lead others to the same state.

Unwind in the Yorkshire Dales in the first of our 2 days of meditation retreat at Bolton Abbey Village Hall. A day retreat is an ideal opportunity to gain a deep understanding of Buddha’s teachings and have a special experience of inner peace.

A second Retreat day in the peace and tranquility of the Yorkshire Dales. Step back from normal activities, let your mind unwind, and focus on solving your problems through meditation, using powerful techniques practised for thousands of years.
Saturday 1 April, 10am – 1pm
Pure love never causes any pain. In this course we will learn how to distinguish between love, desire and attachment, and remove the cause of pain from our heart. By developing our minds of love and applying them in our daily life we will feel closer and more connected to others and our relationships will become more stable and harmonious.
Friday 14 & Saturday 15 April
This special fasting and purification practice is performed in conjunction with the practice of the Buddha of Compassion, 1000 -Armed Avalokiteshvara. It is very powerful for purifying negative karma of body, speech, and mind, and for pacifying strong delusions that cause us so much mental pain. It is a special method for receiving blessings and improving our experience of love and compassion.
