Weekly Buddhist Meditation Classes
The meditation classes at Buddha Land Kadampa Buddhist Centre in Keighley teach you how to gain an experience of inner peace through meditation. They are a great way to learn to meditate, to improve your meditation practice, or to learn new meditation techniques. Through meditation we can learn to relax, let go of our daily concerns and develop a fresh and positive outlook.
The classes include guided meditations and a talk explaining how to practise and apply meditation. They are self-contained, so you can attend individual classes. Please see below for full details.

The meditation classes for children at Buddha Land Centre teach how to gain an experience of inner peace through meditation. They are a great way to learn how difficulties come from the mind and to start to overcome them. Through meditation we can learn to relax, let go of our daily concerns and develop a fresh and positive outlook regardless of our age. Buddha’s teachings help us to understand the experiences of others, to overcome selfishness and to cherish others. In each class there is a story or short talk, guided meditations followed by craft activities.
Everyone under 13 and over 5 is welcome but an adult needs to come along as well. The class lasts one hour with a charge of £2.00 per child. Location
Buddha Land Kadampa Buddhist Centre has a raised ground floor cafe/shop and a first floor meditation room. Entrance to the ground floor is via 6 steps.
The centre is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am til 4pm (9.30am on Saturdays).
Getting there
The Centre is situated on Keighley War Memorial Square between Abbey National and Speaks Work Wear. It is opposite Keighley Bus Station and the Airedale Centre.
It is 5min walk from Keighley Train Station.
Parking is readily available during the day either in the town centre car parks or in unrestricted street parking which starts about 5min walk away from the building. After 6pm and on Sundays town centre car parking is free. There are disabled parking bays oposite the building and alongside Abbey National.
In addition to Keighley, the meditation class also covers towns and villages in the wider area including Bingley, Cullingworth, Oxenhope, Haworth, Oakwood, Steeton, Crosshills, Silsden and Skipton.
