Digital Detox
How to reclaim your attention and find a calmer, happier mind
with Gen-la Kelsang Kunsang
Central Hall, Keighley
Saturday 24 October, 5.30pm – 6.45pm
In-person
An inspiring evening talk and meditation with internationally renowned Buddhist Teacher, Gen-la Kelsang Kunsang.
How often do you reach for your phone without even thinking about it? We use our phones to work, communicate, shop, relax and entertain ourselves. But when every quiet moment is filled with messages, notifications and scrolling, is it becoming harder to simply be present?
In this special evening talk, Gen-la Kelsang Kunsang will explore how we can free our mind from the constant pull of digital distractions and discover a deeper sense of peace and contentment.
A digital detox doesn’t have to mean giving up technology. Instead, it can mean learning to change our relationship with it. Through Buddhist wisdom and meditation, we can learn to recognise our habits of distraction, become more aware of where we place our attention, and develop a mind that is naturally calmer, more focused and at ease.
The evening will include practical teachings and guided meditations that you can use in everyday life. Discover how to spend less time looking outside yourself for stimulation and more time enjoying the peace and happiness that comes from within.
Be inspired to put down your phone, press pause and give your mind a break. No previous experience of meditation is necessary and everyone is welcome.
