Freedom from Craving
Meditation Workshop
@ Burnley KBC
Saturday 3 October, 2pm – 5pm
In-person & Livestream
We turn to many external things for happiness but this search often leads to greater desires and dissatisfaction.
In this course, we will explore why these things fail to quench our thirst for happiness and how we can find true enjoyment free from desire and attachment.
We often cause ourselves much suffering either by seeking things we don’t have or by trying to cling on to what we do have.
These can be material possessions, people, jobs, appearance etc, thinking we can’t live without them being the way we desire. But, in reality all these are not essential, and even if we have them, they are impermanent, none of them last for ever.
If we don’t have skillful ways of dealing with this habit it can easily lead to stronger attachment and harmful tendencies.
In this meditation workshop, with help from teachings and guided meditations, we will discover how to identify our habits of craving and harmful attachment as they arise, and then how to let go of them. We will discover effective ways to bring a growing sense of inner peace and happiness to all areas of our life.
No previous experience is necessary—this course is perfect for anyone curious about meditation or looking to enhance their emotional well-being.
Refreshments are available in our World Peace Café during the course.
