You are invited to slow down and discover inner peace with guided meditation at a woodland retreat.
During this Retreat we will focus on simple meditations for developing inner peace. The retreat is held at Woodsworth Exploring, Bandshaw Plantation a woodland campsite in Oakworth, Keighley and the sessions will be held outdoors. A simple shelter is available if its needed. Between the sessions and after the retreat there will be time to explore the woodland.
You will need to bring a chair or other seat, a blanket and packed lunch. Tea will be brewed on an open fire during the lunch break but you will need to bring a mug or if you prefer bring your own refreshments for the breaks. There is parking onsite although it is limited so car sharing is encouraged where possible. There are toilets on site.
The cost of the day retreat is £18 (Centre Membership Scheme £12).

The sessions will be guided by Gen Kelsang Päljin, Resident Teacher of Buddha Land and Burnley Kadampa Buddhist Centres, who is appreciated for offering clear guidance on meditation and living a a positive life.

Branshaw Plantation is home to Woodsworth Exploring which provides traditional camping in a 10 acre broadleaved woodland. It is situated on Slaymaker Lane in Oakworth just outside Keighley.
There are walks within the woodland and trails that lead beyond for those who would like to explore further.

The entrance is set back slightly from Slaymaker Lane and is signed Woodsworth Exploring.
Directions from Keighley:
Take the B6143 Oakworth Road out of Keighley. Follow for 2 miles then turn right onto Slaymaker Lane. Follow for 1/4 mile, the venue is on the right.
Directions from Bradford/Halifax:
Follow A629 to Crossroads, taking the left at the mini-roundabout onto the A6033. After 1/4 mile, turn Right onto Vale Mill Lane and follow this down the hill. Don’t forget to honk your horn at HOOT corner! Then follow round the bends, over the level crossing for the KWVR Steam Railway and up the hill. At the top, turn Right onto Oakworth Road. After 1/4 mile, take the sharp left onto Slaymaker Lane and we’re on the right about 1/4 mile.
