This retreat is a wonderful opportunity to learn to rely on Vajrasattva, the Buddha of purification, and practise a special meditation to free ourself from all of our negative karma.
We spend all our time and energy trying to avoid problems by making changes to our external world. However, our unhappiness and difficulties are not caused by the external world but are the result of the negative karma we have created in the past through our own harmful actions.
By relying upon Vajrasattva, the Buddha of purification, and practising a special meditation, we can free ourselves from all our negative karma. As a result, all our experiences will be positive; we will have a peaceful, pure mind; and will easily remove obstacles to our spiritual development.
Saturday Retreat is guided, prices as shown below; Sunday and Monday are unguided and free of charge.
The cost of the Saturday day retreat is £18 (Members £5).

Teacher
The sessions will be guided by Gen Kelsang Päljin, Resident Teacher of Buddha Land KMC and Burnley Kadampa Buddhist Centres, who is appreciated for offering clear guidance on meditation and living an exemplary, positive life.

Livestream
This retreat is available to stream for monthly members who live in our catchment area. It will be streamed from our Buddha Land KMC, Keighley.
Please book any days you will attend using the drop down menu below. For the unguided retreat the link is the same for all sessions but booking the days you will attend will enable us to enure the streaming is running as required.

Location
Buddha Land Kadampa Meditation Centre has a raised ground floor cafe/shop and a first floor meditation room. Entrance to the ground floor is via 6 steps.
The centre is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am til 4pm (9.30am on Saturdays).
Getting there
The Centre is situated on Keighley War Memorial Square between Abbey National and Speaks Work Wear. It is opposite Keighley Bus Station and the Airedale Centre.
It is 5min walk from Keighley Train Station.
Parking is readily available during the day either in the town centre car parks or in unrestricted street parking which starts about 5min walk away from the building. After 6pm and on Sundays town centre car parking is free. There are disabled parking bays oposite the building and alongside Abbey National.
