Letting Go of Perfect
Saturday 15 October, 10am – 1pm
Learn to let go of our self-critical and unrealistic thought patterns, nourish positive attitudes, and redirect our energies to being content, peaceful and most importantly happy with who we are.
In our modern life, especially within the world of media platforms, we can often feel under pressure to ‘get it right’, to be seen as successful, or to not let people down. Deep down we know these are unrealistic expectations, but nevertheless we can get caught up with them and feel dissatisfied or that we’re not good enough.
These thoughts undermine our confidence and self esteem. What we need amidst our challenging world is the encouragement to know we can be happy and content just as we are and let go of our craving for perfection.
Our workshops are a perfect way to both relax and develop internally. They are ideal for those who are new to meditation and those who would like to improve.
Refreshments are available in our World Peace Café during the workshop.
The cost of the Workshop is £15 (GP Centre Card £5, FP member £0).
This morning workshop at Burnley will be taught by Gen Kelsang Päljin, Resident Teacher of Buddha Land and Burnley Kadampa Buddhist Centres, who is appreciated for offering clear guidance on meditation and living a a positive life.
