An Evening of Meditation and Good Food

Enjoy a relaxing evening with meditation, good company and delicious 3-course vegetarian meal. Tonight’s food will have a Jubilee-themed flavour.
There will a short talk and guided meditation with Gen Kelsang Päljin, to bring spiritual focus and a positive mindset to our weekend.
“We had a lovely evening and are looking forward to the next evening of meditation and good food”. Paul, who attended our first Food for Thought in November 2019.
The meditation and teaching are guided by Gen Päljin, a Buddhist monk with over 20 years of experience and the Resident Teacher of Burnley Centre & Buddha Land Centre in Keighley.
The cost of the evening is just £15.
We are also fundraising for the improvements to our cafe area to make it into a fully functioning café to benefit the local area. If you would like to make a donation towards this, please add to the donation button below. Those who are eligible can also Gift Aid their donation.

Venue
Burnley Kadampa Buddhist Centre has a ground floor cafe/shop and meditation room.
The centre is open on Wed and Sat 10am til 2pm. For Saturday morning courses the centre is open from 9.45am.
Getting there
The Centre is located on Parker Street in the centre of Burnley close to Charter Walk Shopping Centre and the Next store.
It is 5min walk from Burnley Central Train Station and 12min walk from Burnley Bus Station.
Parking is easily accessible in local car parks from 2 to 5 min walk away, while short stay on-street parking is available outside our door. On-street parking is unrestricted after 5pm and on Sundays.
