Taming the Mind
Half Day Course
Burnley Kadampa Buddhist Centre
Saturday 23 Nov, 10am – 1pm
If we make no effort to control our mind it will be in control of us. Learning to tame the ‘wild elephant’ of our mind is the gateway to real happiness. Learn to settle your mind and enjoy inner space and clarity.
Buddha used the analogy of a wild elephant running amok to describe an unpeaceful mind and how through meditation we can learn to tame these wild elephant minds.
This course will include guided meditations, which will help you to develop a peaceful and positive mind so that your life is more fulfilling and meaningful.
Day Courses are an ideal way to learn more about meditation and inner peace. They are ideal for those who are new to meditation and those who would like to improve.
The cost of the half day course is £12.50 (GP Centre Card £5). Refreshments are available in our World Peace Cafe during the course.
This course will be taught by Gen Kelsang Päljin the Resident Teacher of Burnley Kadampa Buddhist Centre and of Buddha Land Buddhist Centre, Keighley. He is a Buddhist monk with over 20 years’ experience of practising and teaching Kadampa Buddhism.
