Power of Mantra
Half-Day Course
In Person @ Buddha Land Centre
Saturday 3 September, 10am – 1pm
Join us for an inspiring introduction to the ancient practice of mantra recitation. Reciting mantras reduces disturbing emotions and negativity and increases positive states of mind.
Mantra means ‘mind protection’. It is the supreme method to purify and enhance the qualities of our body and mind. For centuries mantra recitation has been used to pacify the negative thoughts that give rise to suffering and thereby attain a peaceful mind. In this course we will learn the meaning of mantra and receive instructions on how to combine mantra recitation with breathing meditation. This is a simple and powerful method to attain a calm, controlled and positive mind and ultimately it is a cause of the supreme inner peace of enlightenment.
Mantra is something we can practice at any time. It brings us many powerful short and long term benefits. It connects us with the good qualities of the enlightened mind and helps us to realize our highest potential.
Half Day Courses offer the opportunity to learn more about Buddhist teachings and meditations for developing peace of mind. They are ideal for those who are new to Buddhist meditation and those who would like to improve. Anyone can attend this meditation event; it is suitable for complete beginners and those with experience. Everyone is welcome.
Refreshments are available in our World Peace Café during the course.
The cost is £15 (£5 for Monthly Members and free for FP members).
