New Years Eve Celebration

Welcome in the New Year in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with an opportunity to bring peace and a spiritual focus into your daily life.
Settle in with warming and tasty non-alcoholic punch between 7pm and 7.30pm. then the evening will begin with a guided meditation and teaching on compassion. Compassion is the perfect way to both end and begin a year and is to be found at the heart of all spiritual journeys.
Afterwards share a delicious 3-course vegetarian meal with great company in the delightful environment of Buddha Land with the enjoyable company of spiritual friends.
Finally to see us into the New Year, from 11-12, we shall engage in candle lit meditation and prayers to Avolokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion, a beautiful and meaningful way to take us into 2020.
The cost of the evening is £20.00 including the meal and refreshments.
This course will be taught by Gen Kelsang Päljin the Resident Teacher of Buddha Land Buddhist Centre, Keighley. He is a Buddhist monk with over 18 years’ experience of practising and teaching Kadampa Buddhism.

Buddha Land Kadampa Buddhist Centre has a raised ground floor cafe/shop and a first floor meditation room. Entrance to the ground floor is via 6 steps.
The centre is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am til 4pm (9.30am on Saturdays).
The Centre is situated on Keighley War Memorial Square between Abbey National and Speaks Work Wear. It is opposite Keighley Bus Station and the Airedale Centre.
It is 5min walk from Keighley Train Station.
Parking is readily available during the day either in the town centre car parks or in unrestricted street parking which starts about 5min walk away from the building. After 6pm and on Sundays town centre car parking is free. There are disabled parking bays oposite the building and alongside Abbey National.
