Learn to Meditate in Half a Day

Create a peaceful mind with simple, effective meditations for greater peace, focus and balance in life. Ideal if you are new to meditation or if you wish to develop your meditation practice.
Meditation is increasingly recognized as an effective means to reduce stress and improve quality of life. It also has much deeper and far-reaching benefits that have been understood by Buddhist practitioners over thousands of years.
During this morning course, you will be guided by an experienced practitioner through several meditations that you can reproduce at home. You will learn how to improve your mindfulness and concentration, as well as how to begin meditating regularly. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and receive guidance on how to improve your meditation practice.
This course is suitable for everyone from complete beginners to experienced meditators.
The cost of the workshop is £12.50 (GP Centre Card £5).
Refreshments are available in our World Peace Cafe during the workshop. Why not also stay for lunch afterwards?
This course will be are taught by Kelsang Drama, a student of the Foundation Programme at Buddha Land Buddhist Centre, Keighley.

Buddha Land Kadampa Buddhist Centre has a raised ground floor cafe/shop and a first floor meditation room. Entrance to the ground floor is via 6 steps.
The centre is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am til 4pm (9.30am on Saturdays).
The Centre is situated on Keighley War Memorial Square between Abbey National and Speaks Work Wear. It is opposite Keighley Bus Station and the Airedale Centre.
It is 5min walk from Keighley Train Station.
Parking is readily available during the day either in the town centre car parks or in unrestricted street parking which starts about 5min walk away from the building. After 6pm and on Sundays town centre car parking is free. There are disabled parking bays oposite the building and alongside Abbey National.
