Keep Karma and Carry On
Half Day Course
Burnley Kadampa Buddhist Centre
Saturday 26 Oct, 10am – 1pm
The law of karma, or actions and their effects explains how our past actions shape our present lives. Learn how to purify past negativity and create positive causes for the future and the life you long for.
Buddha explained that every experience we have is shaped by our own previous actions. Good actions leading to happiness and negative actions leading to unhappiness.
Understanding Karma leads us to take responsibility for our own actions and thus to avoid blaming others. Accepting that we have created causes for our experiences also encourages us to put energy into improving our current actions. If we improve our actions and the minds that motivate them then we will create positive causes in our mind and experience greater happiness in the future.
This course will include guided meditations, which will help us to develop a peaceful and positive mind. Day Courses are an ideal way to learn more about meditation and inner peace. They are ideal for those who are new to meditation and those who would like to improve.
The cost of the half day course is £12.50 (GP Centre Card £5). Refreshments are available in our World Peace Cafe during the course.
This course will be taught by Gen Kelsang Päljin the Resident Teacher of Burnley Kadampa Buddhist Centre and of Buddha Land Buddhist Centre, Keighley. He is a Buddhist monk with over 20 years’ experience of practising and teaching Kadampa Buddhism.
