Following in the Footsteps of Buddha – the Buddhist Way of Life Half Day Course
with Visiting Teacher Gen Kelsang Lamchen
In Person @ Buddha Land Centre & Livestream
Sunday 10 October, 10am – 1pm
(available for 48 hours on catch up)
Seeking refuge in the Three Jewels is the essence of the Buddhist way of life.
This course will look at how, by seeking refuge (or solutions to our problems) in the Three Jewels – Buddha (the supreme teacher), Dharma (Buddhist teachings), and Sangha (the spiritual community), we can overcome our negative states of mind, find mental stability and permanent freedom from our problems.
Taking refuge in the Three Jewels brings about a lasting solution to our problems by focusing on their deeper causes that lie within our mind. It is a beautiful heart practice of Buddhism that leads to a peaceful and meaningful life. Gradually, the Three Jewels become a constant source of refuge for us, an oasis of peace and happiness in this turbulent world.
Half Day Courses are an ideal way to learn more about Buddhism, meditation and inner peace. They are ideal both for those new to meditation and Buddha’s teachings and those with some experience, wishing to take their understanding deeper.
Refreshments are available in our World Peace Cafes during the course.
The cost of the Half Day Course is £15 (GP Centre Card £5, FP member £0).
This course will be taught by visiting teacher Gen Kelsang Lamchen, who is the Resident Teacher at Amitabha KMC in Bristol.
Gen Lamchen has been a studying and practising Kadampa Buddhism for over 20 years. She is known for her good heart and for her ability to convey the teachings in practical and accessible manner that is relevant to our busy modern lives.
