Developing a Good Heart
In-Person @ Burnley KBC & Livestreamed Online
Saturday 5th December, 10am – 1pm
(available for 48 hours after on catch up)
During these unprecedented times many of us are feeling big pressures on relationships with our families, partners, work colleagues, and even with our friends. In this workshop we will practise simple meditation techniques, learnt from ancient Buddhist wisdom, on how to develop and maintain a good heart during these challenging times.
Dealing with the people around us is such a big part of our lives. So what happens when we find others difficult to live with or work with? So often our priorities differ, our opinions clash, conflicts can build and we can feel like other people are making us stressed and miserable.
Through meditation we can shift these harmful patterns of behaviour and responses by learning to view ourselves and others in a completely different way. Developing a good heart will help us solve our difficult relationships and become more tolerant and accepting of others so that we naturally develop love and respect for them.
You can attend this workshop in person at Burnley Kadampa Buddhist Centre, or by online streaming.
The cost is £13 (£5 for Monthly Members).
This morning workshop will be taught by Gen Kelsang Päljin the Resident Teacher of Burnley Kadampa Buddhist Centre and of Buddha Land Buddhist Centre, Keighley. He is a Buddhist monk with over 20 years’ experience of practising and teaching Kadampa Buddhism.
