Half Day Course
Burnley Kadampa Buddhist Centre
Saturday 24 June, 10am – 1pm
We all experience mental and physical pain, and at times it can be overwhelming. Learn powerful meditations to transform pain and difficulties.
Dealing with sickness and pain, be it physical or emotional, can be draining and
discouraging; although we cannot always change our physical
conditions, we can learn to change our mental attitude.
We all want pain to stop whether physical or mental pain. The
experience of pain can be either intensified or reduced depending upon
our insight into the origin and nature, and whether or not we can make
it spiritually meaningful.
During this workshop we will learn various meditations, practices and views that will help us to accept, minimise, and and see beyond our pain, and transform these painful experiences into opportunities to gain spiritual insights, and develop inner strength.
Day Courses are an ideal way to learn more about meditation and inner peace. They are ideal for those who are new to meditation and those who would like to improve.
The cost of the half day course is £12 (GP Centre Card £5). Refreshments are available in our World Peace Cafe during the course.
