Half Day Course
Buddha Land Kadampa Buddhist Centre, Keighley
Saturday 11 Nov, 10am-1pm
In this morning course we will explore Buddhist teachings on how to grow spiritually from the experience of pain, and be introduced to effective methods to reduce our mental and physical suffering.
We all want pain to stop whether physical or mental pain. The experience of pain can be either intensified or reduced depending upon our insight into the origin and nature.
Sickness and even pain are not inherently bad if it is possible to transform them into something beneficial. The Buddhist perspective offers many effective methods for everyone – Buddhist and non-Buddhist — to transform pain and sickness into treasures of inner wealth, which are the actual causes of peace and lasting happiness.
This course will present some of these profound methods including guided meditations for healing the body and mind.
Day Courses are an ideal way to learn more about meditation and inner peace. They are ideal for those who are new to meditation and those who would like to improve.
The cost of the day course is £12 (CM £5) .
