Freedom from Craving
Half Day Course
Burnley Kadampa Buddhist Centre
Saturday 24 Mar, 10am – 1pm
Although we try to find stable happiness in people, money, excitement, food, clothes, smartphones, or unhealthy substances, in reality, trying to find joy and satisfaction from such things often leads us to more problems of dissatisfaction and unhappiness.
If we don’t have skilful ways of dealing with this habit of craving, it can easily lead to strong attachment and harmful, addictive tendencies.
In this half day course, with help from teachings and guided meditations, we will discover how to identify our habits of craving, attachment and addiction as they arise, and then how to let go of them. We will discover effective ways to bring a growing sense of inner peace and happiness to all areas of our life.
This workshop will include guided meditations, which will help you to develop a peaceful and positive mind so that your life is fulfilling and meaningful. Day Courses are an ideal way to learn more about meditation and inner peace. They are ideal for those who are new to meditation and those who would like to improve.
The cost of the half day course is £12 (GP Centre Card £5). Refreshments are available in our World Peace Cafe during the course.
