Pure Mind, Pure World
Half Day Course
Buddha Land Kadampa Buddhist Centre, Keighley
Sunday 18 Nov, 10am-1pm
Our mind is often disturbed by painful thoughts and feelings that disrupt our sense of well-being and our personal relationships and cause us to experience various kinds of suffering. Buddha teaches us practical methods to purify our mind of this negativity and thus reduce our suffering now and in the future. As our mind becomes purer, our experiences and relationships improve. Eventually, when we completely purify our mind, we will experience a completely pure world.
In this half day course we will discover different ways on how to purify and in particular learn about the Four Opponent Powers. Through understanding these through meditation practices, we can swiftly eliminate all the negativity from our mind and allow its natural purity to shine through. With a pure mind, we will free ourself from the negativity in our life, enter into a world of purity and come to experience a deep inner peace and lasting happiness.
Day Courses are an ideal way to learn more about meditation and inner peace. They are ideal for those who are new to meditation and those who would like to improve.
The cost of the day course is £12.50 (CM £5) .
This course will be taught by Gen Kelsang Päljin the Resident Teacher of Buddha Land Buddhist Centre, Keighley. He is a Buddhist monk with over 18 years’ experience of practising and teaching Kadampa Buddhism.
