Free yourself from worries and mental discomfort using simple and effective techniques that will give you a peaceful mind and real happiness.
If our mind is peaceful, we will be free from worries and mental discomfort, and so we will experience true happiness; but if our mind is not peaceful, we will find it very difficult to be happy, even if we are living in the very best conditions.
If we train in meditation, our mind will gradually become more and more peaceful, and we will experience a clearer and purer form of happiness. Eventually, we will be able to stay happy all the time, even in the most difficult circumstances.
This workshop teaches how to find and maintain inner peace through simple meditation techniques. Anyone can practise these techniques and derive immense benefit from them.
Workshops are a perfect way to both relax and develop internally. They are ideal for those who are new to meditation and those who would like to improve.
The cost of the workshop is £12 (GP Centre Card £5).
Refreshments are available in our World Peace Cafe during the workshop. Why not also stay for homemade soup afterwards?

Burnley Kadampa Buddhist Centre has a ground floor cafe/shop and meditation room.
The centre is open on Wed and Sat 10am til 2pm. For Saturday morning courses the centre is open from 9.45am.
The Centre is located on Parker Street in the centre of Burnley close to Charter Walk Shopping Centre and the new Next store.
It is 5min walk from Burnley Central Train Station and 12min walk from Burnley Bus Station.
Parking is easily accessible in local car parks from 2 to 5 min walk away, while short stay on-street parking is available outside our door. On-street parking is unrestricted after 5pm.
