Learn to Meditate in Half a Day
Burnley Kadampa Buddhist Centre, Burnley
Saturday 9 June, 10am – 1pm
Discover the essential tools of meditation and learn how to start your own meditation practice at home in this short morning meditation course. This course is perfect for those wishing to find more focus, balance and peace in daily life as well as those who would like to refresh their meditation practice.
Meditation is becoming increasingly recognized as an effective means to reduce stress and improve our quality of life, however it also has much deeper and far-reaching benefits that have been understood by Buddhist practitioners for thousands of years. During this morning course, you will be guided by an experienced practitioner through several meditations that can be reproduced at home, learn how to improve your mindfulness and concentration; as well as how to set up a regular meditation practice. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and receive guidance on how to improve your meditation practice.
Workshops are a perfect way to both relax and develop internally. They are ideal for those who are new to meditation and those who would like to improve.
The cost of the workshop is £12 (GP Centre Card £5).
Refreshments are available in our World Peace Cafe during the workshop. Why not also stay for homemade soup afterwards?
