Half Day Course
Burnley Kadampa Buddhist Centre
Saturday 23 June, 10am – 1pm
Tantra uses positive imagery and visualization to let go of negativity and perceive purity. In this introduction we will learn about the beautiful practices of Tantra, how we can engage in them and how they can help us to move beyond our ordinary perceptions and ideas.
Buddha’s tantric teachings and meditations are all about taking charge of your own mind and steering it in powerful and meaningful directions.
Buddha explained how our world does not exist from its own side: like a dream world it is mere appearances to our mind. When our mind is impure, our world is impure but when our mind becomes completely pure through Highest Yoga Tantra practice, our world, our self, our activities and our enjoyments also become completely pure.
In this course we will learn to re-imagine ourselves as more loving, more compassionate, and more wise. These colourful, rich, playful and imaginative teachings enable us to use all of our daily enjoyments and experiences as the very means for achieving this.
The cost of the half day course is £12 (GP Centre Card £5). Refreshments are available in our World Peace Cafe during the course.
